Brooke Bond Dividend Tea – unopened ¼ Lb packet, early 1950s. This is a 4¼” x 2” x 2” unopened packet of Brooke Bond Dividend Tea that dates from around the early-mid 1950s. (Or perhaps earlier?) It still has its Dividend Stamp which was intended to be removed (by the perforations) and stuck onto a Brooke Bond Dividend Card that was worth 5/- when full. The packet is showing slight signs of handling (and a few flakes of tea are coming out from in the folds somewhere.) There is a tiny piece of paper missing on the front just be the left part of the stamp. It is not particularly obvious and the packet still displays very well – on its own or as part of a larger group of items. If it helps to date it the price is printed on one end panel as 1/1d.
Postage in the UK is £1.50.
Worldwide airmail is £3.
