This is a Brook Compton 1/2HP resiliant mount motor - of the type used by Myford and other quality lathe manufacturers.

The motor is standard 240V single phase (ie household mains)

Speed is 1425 rpm

Shaft diameter is 3/4" (with keyway), body diameter is 7" and overall length (excluding shaft) 11"

The motor is reversible - If you require I can wire it for whichever direction you wish

The motor runs very smoothly and very quietly and has just been fitted with a new starter capacitor.

As the motor is very heavy, I'm afraid it's collection only (Nawton, N Yorks - 3 miles E of Helmsley)
