Together with the Mamiya RB 67 that I sold here last week, this is the camera that my father used to shoot most of his best known celebrity photographs in the late '80s and '90s.

The camera body, backs and pistol grip all show some signs of use. Both lenses are clear, unscratched, free from fungus and in overall excellent condition. There's no discernible wear whatsoever to the metal bayonet fittings of either lens or extension tube.

This is a fantastic and extremely reliable camera. My father tells me he can't remember it ever breaking down of failing in any way. And he was using it a recently as last weekend. Well after today's generation of digital cameras are long forgotten and buried deep within landfills, cameras like these will be able to produce images as good as the day they were first bought.

The photograph of Catherine Zeta Jones shown here (I'm also selling a print from the same session here) was taken with my father standing in a bath at the Halcyon hotel. There was no space for a tripod so the heavier Mamiya was ruled out. It was perfect for a camera like this, with it's eye level finder and pistol grip.

This camera kit would make an excellent present for a student of photography or keen amateur.
