'1977 - THE QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE'

SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE EDITION

This is a charming blue transferware milk jug. It was made to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. It is one item from a range that feature different key buildings related to Queen Elizabeth II. The milk jug features Holyrood - an image of the building and part of the grounds is on both the front and the back. The jug has a slightly wavy shape with some gentle ridged detailing around the brim and base, and also on the handle.

The jug measures 3.6" (9 cms) tall and 5" (13 cms) from spout to handle. 

It is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, scratches or damaged glaze.

The markings on the reverse bear the makers stamp.
