Rail And Platform Plans Of British Stations DVD
|
Rail and Platform Plans of British Stations - 1947. These plans and notes have been scanned onto a DVD for the model railway enthusiast to use and enjoy. There are 89 plans in total and 4 pages of notes, making up this excellent "must-have" package.
For the benefit of those who are interested in railway station layouts, and in particular, for the model railway enthusiast, this book has been produced to fill a gap of many years standing, in the railway man's library.
Although the diagrams are not drawn to scale, through the sheer necessity of condensing them into a small and uniform space, they will nevertheless convey the information desired by the railway enthusiast as to the general layout of the stations depicted, and public amenities available.
Excellent attempts have already been made in the model railway world in reproducing in miniature, prototype practice, but information has so far been lacking, and has been difficult to obtain without considerable inconvenience.
In most of the diagrams the goods yard layouts have been included together with the relevant buildings and line side structures.
They have been scanned to the highest quality available (TIFF files giving lossless quality) so that they can be viewed and printed with great detail.
