The digital maternity TENS package comes with 4 new large high-quality electrode pads specially for use during childbirth. They are hypo-allergenic and self-adhesive - no gel and tape needed.
If you want a powerful TENS for your labour, this unit has the highest power output available to UK consumers - 130mA. (The 'mA' figure is the only meaningful power measurement.)
Full instructions for use in labour are included. A general instruction book is also supplied so the TENS unit can also be used for other pain relief before and after childbirth (but do not use during first 36 weeks of pregnancy).
All consumables are included (electrodes, leadwires and batteries). The 4 new obstetric electrodes are high-quality with a normal price of £6.99. The unit does not have a leadwire boost button as found on some obstetric TENS. Instead, it is built into the machine which avoids a trailing lead. You can set and leave at the boost level without having to hold the button down - very useful during the later stages of childbirth.
To protect your TENS and keep all the accessories together, you get a free zipped padded case with room for spare batteries and pads.
TIP: Don't wait until week 38 to buy a TENS machine! Although we despatch quickly, any postal delay will give you unwanted stress. We suggest no later than week 34/35 so it's there when you need it.
Why buy a used TENS machine for use in childbirth when you can buy new at this price? Many secondhand TENS machines are supplied with used electrodes and leadwires. You are recommended not to re-use electrodes after others due to risk of infection. All our TENS units come complete with new individual patient electrodes and leadwires.
Although it has a high power output, the unit uses just 2 AA alkaline batteries (supplied) which will last for many hours of pain reilef.
The flip-case design makes for a compact size and also prevents screen damage and accidental operation.
