railway materials. Over the past few years we have become far more
diversified than ever intended. In an attempt to get back to what we
know best, we shall, over the next few months, be listing several thousand

DESCRIPTION:
This is a new from publisher book and as such,
is in mint condition.
A new from publisher copy in mint condition and normally retailing at
£14.95. Contained in glazed boards are 96 printed pages of text and 120
black and white photographs plus maps and other illustrations. A branch with
a chequered history, it initially carried boat trains and then became an
unimportant backwater serving a small local community. Of importance in two
world wars, it failed to become the holiday line that was planned but
developed instead into a major industrial route. Subsequent decline has
recently been reversed with unexpected new traffic. This unusual railway
story is illustrated with 120 photographs and numerous maps

Unless our optional insurance is taken up we
can no longer be responsible for losses or damages caused by Royal Mail.
We arrange our own insurance independently of Royal Mail. Without the
optional insurance the buyer will have to pursue their own claim against
Royal Mail for loss or damage which we will gladly assist with as much
as we are able.
The reason for this is that because we have
our mail collected we are not able to obtain proof of postage and
without such proof Royal Mail will not consider a claim by us. However
for us it is a catch 22 situation, we post out many, many parcels every
day and if we take the parcels to a local post office they refuse to
give us proof of postage because of the sheer quantity!!
Our experience is that if one individual
claims for one lost or damaged packet Royal Mail quite happily settles.
Please be advised that our postage costs
include a small extra amount to cover our purpose made corrugated card
packaging, the costs of a daily post collection by Royal Mail and the
costs of renting a franking machine (Franked mail is considerably
cheaper than postage stamped mail). This small additional amount has
been calculated by the accountants of Nene Valley - Railway Books at a
level slightly BELOW what it actually costs us.
We always reduce postage costs for multiple
