Some kind of rubber/fibre compound

Will fit old skool bikes rod pull or caliper

Won't fit old Raleigh rod pull with original shoes as Raleigh were rounded and these are square shoe type

Definitely new old stock, had them in the family since the early 60's and they were old then!!!
