  • The prayer flags in this box are made of Lokta paper sheet with the golden silk screen printing. The box is of Lokta Paper too with Om Mani Mantra of compassion on top. Auspicious symbols on prayer flags will bring luck to one who uses them.

  • Nepali handmade paper is crafted in traditional way from the bark of Daphne Cannabina, commonly known as LOKTA among Nepalese, an under-storey shrub which grows in the middle mountains of Nepal. Handmade Lokta paper crafting is an ancient art that has remained unchanged for over 2000 years. Handmade Lokta paper is acid free and environmental friendly. It is extremely durable and that is one reason why government offices in Nepal are still using them for all the official documentations. This set is made by one of the pioneer families in promoting Nepalese & Tibetan Handicrafts. The family has been engaged in aiding the historical culture of Nepalese & Tibetan Handicrafts for three generations now. The main objective of the families' company today is to provide continuity to the Buddhist Arts & Culture by providing continuous support to the artist communities devoted on this culture.
