The DR670 is Boss’s midrange compact drum machine. Packed with sounds and easy-to-use features, you can produce realistic high-quality drum and backing tracks with ease.

High Quality Sound Effects

The quality and range of drum sounds available are some of the best you’ll hear. Sampled waveforms sound perfect and the 255 sounds are arranged as 64 preset kits along with space for 64 user kits. Rock, pop, latin or jazz flavours are easily dialled in. The 16 pads are velocity sensitive, meaning you can program realistic feel and grooves and there’s a roll and flam button that makes easy work of complex snare patterns.

Dub Programming Pads

The DR670 uses the traditional boss programming methods. Realtime programming to a click track allows you to compose and overdub on the fly, and a quantize option is on hand to put things in time if you wish, or you can choose to leave it loose. Step programming uses a grid to place sounds at specific times in a bar, ideal for dance grooves. Patterns are then arranged into order to create your finished song.

Basslines can be added to patterns by way of a clever fingerboard method. 20 pads are arranged to play like a fretboard so it’s easy to play a bassline in as you would play the riff on a bass guitar. Each preset pattern has a corresponding fill pattern and you can use a dual footswitch to start/stop and play the fill.

Midi Digital Recording

The DR670 has midi in and out to sync to digital recorders or have external devices such as a sequencer to play the sounds. There are settings for reverb, pitch, nuance, pan, tempo, quantize, bass transpose, song chain and many more.
