Borough Satyr: The Life and Art of Austin Osman Spare, was originally produced to accompany an exhibition of Spare's art, during November 2005, at The Mass Gallery, in London. This is one of the private distribution copies, limited to only 65 copies, which were not released to the public - making this copy, all the more rare. It comes in a black cloth slipcase, and is numbered #65 (therefore the ultimate copy), and signed by the editor - Robert Ansell. The book is bound in black cloth, and features a blind stamped swirling design by Spare, with the word "ONE" below it.

The book features over 100 examples of Spare's art, including paintings, drawings, bookplates and there are also a number of rare photographs. Many of the artworks are reproduced in full color, take up full pages. Included are some of Spare's most striking paintings, as well as drawings which feature his use of sigils, and drawing of spells. Many of the artworks have seldom been seen, and rarely, or never been reproduced. In addition to art, there is a fine introduction by Robert Ansell, and 11 essays and recollections by various authors, including Kenneth & Steffi Grant. 

This is a very rare special edition of this book, and is certain to become very valuable and highly sought-after, by collectors of A.O. Spare. Do not miss out on this opportunity.
