Features:

  • This adapter converts inexpensive, versatile compact flash cards into silent, low powered hard disks.
  • Compatible with both type 1 and type 2 cards. Ideal for use in embed devices – eg: Firewalls: IPCop, Smoothwall, Clark Connect etc
  • Media Devices: GeeXboX Media Player , Knoppmyth
  • Full operating systems: Damm Small Linux, Knoppix, Slax, or network boot your favourite os (see LTSP for more details).
  • Compact Flash is fully IDE compatible (ie. this device is transparent to your operating system, and enables it to operate without drivers).
  • Computers see this, when combined with a CF card, as a normal hard disk... (Beware - this device is NOT hot swappable – this could damage both the card and the adapter).
  • The adapter uses a floppy disk style power adapter and connects by a normal ide cable (Not Included)in same way as a normal hard disk.
  • Using a cable this adaptor can fit in much lower profile cases or be tucked away in a normal case.
  • Jumper settings allow a choice between master and slave.
  • The adapter is very simple to install - if you can install a hard disk you can install this device.
