This is a fine book from the Transport Publishing Company that provides a thorough and comprehensive history of municipal transport in Sheffield. From horse trans through to absorption into the South Yorkshire PTE in 1974, this book covers everything – there’s much research, a magnificent array of historical pictures and a superb set of appendices (including a complete fleet listing). Recommended.
