The first volume, published in 1968, was a comprehensive catalog of paintings and drawings given to the Museum between 1799 and 1966, with 1,961 entries representing the work of 450 identified artists (and more unidentified artists). The second volume adds art acquired by the Museum between 1967 and 1977, as well as logbooks, and corrections to the first volume.

2 volumes. Hardcover. 8.5”x11”, 530 and 166 pages, hundreds of black & white and color illustrations. 2nd volume with dust jacket.

Light wear. The first volume has a small plastic label on the spine (see photo below). These books came from the reference library of noted Connecticut antique dealer Wayne Pratt, and that is a label he used on many of his books.  There is a little minor wear to the dust jacket of the second volume, but other than that both books are fine and clean.
