I am offering for auction ,on behalf of a friend, the following items:-
1 X Olympus Black bodied OM1 SLR Camera.
Coupled with 1 x Olympus winder 2 and fitted with a Tamron Zoom Macro 1:4.5, 85-210mm BBAR MULTI C Lens with Tamron Adaptall fitting for Olympus OM.
There are also two 49mm filters: 1 x Hoya 80B blue filter and 1 x O9lympus Skylight 1A. - These came with the Zuiko 1.4,50mm "KIT" Lens - it is not offered for auction as it has quite a bad case of the fungi! - however, if you win this auction you are welcome to have it included- just let me know.
This camera is well brassed on the front shoulders and looking through the viewfinder I can see a bit of fungus inside there somewhere but, considering that this camera has not seen the light of day for many years, I am quite impressed with its general condition.
I put an LR 44 battery in the camera and the light meter worked perfectly - oh Joy!
I had some materials left over from renewing the light seals on my own cameras - so I have renewed the light seals on this camera - so they should be good for another thirty years!
I have touched nothing else.
The self timer, shutter and winder all work, the ASA meter sets properly and the winder arm springs back just as it should - mechanicaly it seems to be pretty good.
The lens is in superb condition and has no fungus - it has a buit in lens hood and seem to be quite a good bit of kit.
I have not put a film through this camera and have not tested the winder (but can do if you want me to).
I will post only within the UK and if you have a feedback of 0 please contact me for terms.
On 11-May-08 at 14:55:03 BST, seller added the following information:I have re-examined the lens and find that there is one small spot of fungus on the front lens and that there is some small damage to the rim of the filter thread ring - it does not effect the use of filters.
On 13-May-08 at 21:10:52 BST, seller added the following information:My wife has pointed out to me that I should be specific as to which lens I re-examined! It was the TAMRON not the OLYMPUS - so there is fungus in both lenses. The fungus in the TAMRON is only one spot on the front inside lens. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a question.
