At last, a CD version of this much sought after LP. This is the first Bev Pegg album recorded at a small studio in Kinver, Staffordshire and released during 1976. A short run of 50 albums only were produced, thus making this highly collectable.

Many of the musicians on this album went on to greater things over the years to come. John Richards (guitar / vocal) became a well known name in the folk world. Several of his songs have been recorded by Fairport Convention, Show Of Hands, Robin Dransfield, Paul Downes and Phil Beer; Derek Thomas (guitar) played the tasteful lead guitar work on many of Clifford T Ward’s hit during the early 1970s. Ken Wright (drums) was also on Clifford T Ward’s first five albums. Maurice Hipkiss (pedal steel guitar) went on to play with many international major country music stars, including touring with Glen Campbell. Duncan Swift (piano) became recognised as one of the finest exponents of stride jazz piano playing in the UK, if not the world. Dave Cartwright (guitar / vocal) became a household name on the folk circuit, with four albums to his name on the Transatlantic Label, and appearances at the Cambridge Folk Festival and most of the top rated venues alongside many International stars. Many of the other musicians and singers, namely Paul Mackreath – drums, Gary Tolley – guitar, Norman Nankervis – violin, Linda Thompson – violin, Harry Rowlands – organ, Dave Pountney – keyboard, Paul Davenport – keyboard, Ray Shakeshaft – keyboard, Kate Binnion, Annie Norris, Rosemary Todd and Linda Evans – backing vocals, on this album built up their reputations on their own local music scenes.

The sleeve of the original LP has been incorporated in this new CD with its 4-page sleeve notes. There is also a comprehensive track listing of who plays on what song.
