Between the Willows of the Brook - signed ltd edition

How did I come to take this unexpected journey? In October 2005 I found a rare edition of Aleister Crowley's The Vision & the Voice in a York bookshop.  In my hotel room that night, beneath the full moon, I read and re-read the Call of the 30th Aethyr, determined to comprehend its hidden meanings, visualising the journey described within it, with no conception or expectations of what may come from performing this simple act.  The Sleeper was certainly awakened that night, but I suspect I had unknowingly taken my first steps on this hidden path many years before.

I slept, and dreamt that I was sleeping in the very same hotel room.  My dream-self was awakened by the sweet singing of Selene, goddess of the moon.  I knew it was she, even though her face remained obscured by leaves of shadow.  I asked her for her message and Selene strung letters of chrome (mercury? silver?) across my bed:

Then, as if knocked or pushed, the letters jangled to the bed and I awoke for real, elated, back in the room I'd been dreaming of.   My journey Between the Willows of the Brook had begun.
