Cost New: £2650.00

The overdrive consists of front and rear prop shafts, overdrive, crossbar and rubber bushed mountings.

A excellent investment for the Bentley which reduces engine wear and improves fuel consumption, making long distance touring much more relaxing and enjoyable. It will typically reduce engine revs by approximately 20 % giving the car a road speed of 60 m.p.h @ approximately 2400 r.p.m rather than a standard 3000 r.p.m.

This overdrive unit has a special casting and front shaft to allow a propshaft to be fitted to both the front and back. It could be introduced on to any car in the same way its fitted to the Bentley. You would have to make a stabilizing kit for the overdrive, possibly modifying the Bentley one and the Bentley propshafts would be usefull.
