Most audio enthusiasts are aware of the improvements that can be gained from upgrading there mains cable. This cable uses a desing by the now legendary Bob Crump of TG Audio Lab fame He used it to great effect to create the Asylum Power Cord.

There is no voodoo in this cable. The parts used are the same parts used in many recognized high-end audio cables. Don't pay hidious amounts of mark-up for nothing more than a good shielded cable with good quality connectors.

Unlike most mains cables sellers on E-bay I will not make claims about how this cable outperforms other peoples or other manufactures. Not happy to use these components just in there standard form the Toughplug and Schurter IEC have had there electrical contacts silver plated including the 13A fuse. This helps to improve contact and also stops any tarnish that is associated with brass pins.The connection between the wire and the pin is silver soldered in the Schurter IEC plug to ensure the best termination possible.

The Belden 19364 is specially imported from the USA because of its excellent quality and audio enhancing benefits. It is equally at home being used in amplifiers, preamps, CD players and all high end audio applications.The cable is rated at 300v while each core can handle upto 18 amps current draw. This is a 2mm Sq (AWG 14) 3 core cable with PVC Jacket it is Shielded and has a drain wire. The outer shield is made of Aluminum Foil-Polyester Tape called Beldfoil® and gives a 100% coverage to all cores. The drain wire runs the length of the cable and sits in contact with the Beldfoil® and is also connected to earth at the wall socket of the cable creating a ground loop. This gives the cable an excellent resilience to mains interference as any present is simply sent to earth and away from the audio equipment improving the noise floor giving more space and detail to the sound.

Finally I have added a Ferrite Core this is a one piece core not a two part clamp. This sits very tightly over the cable so tight in fact there isn’t enough space for the cable sleeve in between. This core helps reduce any radio frequency interference RFI that all mains cables suffer from. This again helps to squeeze the last bit of performance out of the cable.

The cable is then finished with black expandable sleeve and heat shrink to give it a high quality durable finish.

I have used these cables on my own Hi-Fi which includes an Arcam CD, Bryston amps and PMC FB1 speakers. I got an great improvement to the bass (Not that the PMC’s suffer from lack of it) which is now tighter and has better control. As the cable bedded in the midrange opened up more and the treble is now more detailed.
