Yes, digital cables can sound different.
I replaced a cheap 75ohm lead with this one expecting to hear a slight change or maybe nothing at all. I thought I'd have to swap back and forth to hear the difference. The improvement is so dramatic that's not necessary! The sound is clearer, cleaner and more detailed with no down sides that I can hear. If I'd paid three-times the money for this cable I would still be delighted. Highly recommended. A stunning cable for the money which has help propel digital co-ax to the next level in SQ. Why buy expensive material when cable like this exists! The one downside is the fitting is not as snug as it should be and can take trial and error to get the best connection.
