Beaver Sculpture of Hand Blown Glass with 24K Gold
NEVER a RESERVE PRICE on ANY of our auctions. We think this keeps everything simple and you, the buyer, can bid with confidence.
New Original Design by Kevin Prochaska, Glass artist at Disneyland for more than 10 years.
Always ready to explore the wilds in search of critters to portray as glass sculpture, the artist was inspired to create this figurine after seeing a wild beaver for the first time while taking an early morning run along the shores of Lake Tahoe. Most surprising, recalls the artist, was its size. It was huge. To celebrate this wonderful creature and its unusual adaptations, the artist has created this expressive sculpture of hand blown glass and 24K gold. The unusual coloring is created when gold is applied to the figurine while it is still molten. Only a handful of artists, throughout the world, are familiar with this technique. We think beaver collectors everywhere will find this new offering delightful. An attractive information card trimmed in gold foil is included with your purchase. This charming figurine makes a thoughtful and unique gift too. Beaver measures approximately 3 inches in length and is 2 inches tall. Safe Shipping Guarantee
Safe arrival and your complete satisfaction are always guaranteed. Extraordinary care is taken to insure the safe arrival of your blown glass figurine. We use a three-step process that has resulted in the safe shipment of thousands of Prochaska Galleries sculptures over the past 30 years.
Step 1: As it is being made, the glass blower takes special care to reinforce all stress points to help protect against shock damage. Additionally all natural stresses are removed from the glass by a high temperature tempering process called annealing.
Step 2: After the figurine is removed from our annealing oven it is thoroughly inspected by the artist who makes certain that all internal stresses have been removed from the glass and that its surfaces have been properly vitrified.
Step 3: Finally, it’s time for careful packaging in not one, but two cartons. Both are filled with shock absorption materials. The sculpture itself is firmly held in place inside the internal carton so as to prevent movement. Loose fill between the two cartons guards against shock and the external box protects against obvious damage.
Our Guarantee: If for any reason you are unhappy with the quality of any piece of art from Prochaska Galleries, simply return it for a full refund or replacement, customer's choice. (We do ask that we be notified within 7 days of receipt of your order if you are not 100% satisfied). We accept PayPal, personal checks and money orders and ship via UPS/insured under normal circumstances.
