This is a lovely, unique hand~made decoration using vintage textiles ~ one of my new designs!  I have combined three different fabrics on the pillows ~ a wonderful vintage cotton paisley & floral quilt fabric c.1930~40, a German linen c.1930 with a dusky pink floral motif on natural ground and the top pillow is made from the most gorgeous fabric dating from the late 19th century ~ pink roses on a creamy beige background.    The stack of pillows is finished with a new pure silk ribbon and a single pearl headed pin.  The complete decoration measures approximately 8cm square and all of the little pillows are individually filled purely with the best French dried lavender.  It looks so pretty sitting on a mantlepiece or dressing table, or simply placed atop a pile of feather pillows on a guest bed.  It makes a wonderful original scented gift ~ perfect for a textile lover and so feminine!

All of the creations that you see are unique, one-off pieces handmade by me and are inspired by my love of all things vintage ~ especially textiles and haberdashery.  Hand-dyed threads, vintage linen, faded florals, velvet, silk and wool; tiny glass, diamante, enamel and pearl buttons; beads, ribbons and jewels ~ these are a few of my favourite things.....

 Many of the ingredients I use are old and have been loved and used in a previous life, therefore there may be inherent natural flaws and signs of age that are part and parcel of 'vintage' materials. This gently faded, worn and slightly shabby appearance is an important part of their beauty and I believe only add to their charm and are the very reason that they appeal to me ~ and hopefully to you too!  I will always be clear to describe any obvious major flaws, but please look at the photos in addition to the written description and I am very happy to answer any specific questions that you may have.
