Nimrods Basic Beekeeping Information Plants for Bees and other Beekeeping files sent to you by email Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity ** Urban dwellers 'should keep bees' **
People living in towns and cities areas are encouraged to keep bees in
gardens, on roofs or on balconies to help declining populations. Please think about having some Bees....go to the BBC for the proof:Even the BBC is now promoting Beekeeping!!! Plse have a look at their news item....... Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity The Government will shed crocodile tears in ten years time when all the UKs Bees are gone. The lot in power today will probably be in Opposition and claim the Government in power should have done more. Look at the Governments track record on Global warming, sexed up Iraq War Documents, Afghanistan & equipment -its always too little too late! You can't trust them.... Twenty years ago they were asked by Scientists to do something about energy and global warming and they did nothing. In fact they blocked policies that could have changed the use of energy decades ago. Now the Public are asked to help conserve energy but policies which would have made drastic changes years ago were never implemented. The Ministers in suits on TV mouth weasel words to get your vote, feed children burgers during a BSE crisis to prove a point but the reality is that they will do nothing because they don't have a clue. Just political appointees who know nothing about their Ministries. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity There is a campaign on now, by people who know the problem, are passionate about the subject and fighting to save our bees. The BBKA (British Beekeepers) organised a march on Westminster, hundreds of the UKs Beekeepers in their Bee Suits in the heart of our Capital to bring this worthy cause to the politicians. A unique event in our Beekeeping History... Please think about it, what can you do....is it our problem? Yes it is! Your local political reps haven't a clue what to do. It is up to the Public to stop the decline of the bees. You could just plant some bee friendly plants, if you own land offer an area for a hive or two or you could have your own bees........it was done in the past by most householders. You could also ignore the problem and wait and see what happens in ten years time. As a beekeeper I'm worried and you should be too......
