This lot is for a brand new Bamboo mekugi peg for a katana tsuka or iaito. It measures 18mm x 5.7mm, and is new from the outside of the bamboo. This means it has a slightly harder(darker) surface on one edge of the bamboo peg which should be positioned to the rear of the tsuka. This positioning of the correct side of the bamboo is not always adhered to in the West, but in Japan it is!
