however this system will only track packages as they are scanned along the way and

no tracking is available to you or the shipper and even if we call the post
office all they will do is check the tracking system.
The post office will also
not start searching for packages for 14-30 after the shipping date in which it
has gone UNDELIVERED depending on the shipping method.
14 days is for priority
mail and 30 for first class and parcel post.
One of the reasons for
this is because packages get delayed, misrouted etc and the estimates given are
only estimates as they state, and packages often (but not always) show up
within the 14-30 days when there is a delay or are misrouted.
You must also understand
that the post offices handle MILLIONS of packages world wide on pretty much a daily
bases and with that many packages every day, there are bound to be mishaps
along the way with a small percentage, as NO system, person or business is or
can be expected to be 100% perfect all of the time.
