Bakelite Salt and Pepper Shakers with Toothpick Holder

NEAR MINT - SOLID Bakelite Salt and Pepper Shakers with Toothpick Holder Set

This is an extremely rare set from my Mother's estate.  I have had these pieces about nine years.  I have not been able to find any others like them.

I have tested each piece and they all show positive as bakelite using Simichrome (see photos below).

Each white dot is an individual piece of bakelite that has been set into the sides of the dice.  You can see this in the picture on the left in the bottom row.

The dice shaped salt shakers measure 1-1/4" square.  The walls are approximately 3/16" thick.  They are in the condition I received them in.  There is a residue of salt / pepper inside both.  The bottoms easily screw out for filling.  I doubt they have ever been washed.  They look like they have just been wiped down and out with a damp cloth.

The mustard colored toothpick holder measures 1-7/8" high x 1" diameter at the bottom x 1-1/4" diameter at the top.  It is 3/16" inch thick

Each piece is in superior condition.  There are no chips, marks or scratches anywhere.
