Bach Stradivarius 36 Medium-Large Bore Trombone

Bach 36 Stradivarius Tenor Trombone Bb Lacquer (Medium-Large) .525" bore, 8" Yellow Brass Bell

This Bb trombone, serial number 50490, was bulit around 1982 (serial number referenced against a web site). It was received in part exchange for a new trombone. 

The instrument is in fair condition (for the age) and blows well. Crucially there is minimal wear on the stockings of the inner slide - and so it should have several years of playing ahead. The bell section is dent free, but will show blemishes and scratches and evidence of repair work. Although the lacquer on the bell section is largely intact, there is noticable wear on the neck-pipe and main tuning slide; there are also some obvious marks and blemishes. The main tuning slide and balance weight are serviced and in perfect order.

The playing slide has been service in our workshops and is running smoothly. There is wear in the hand positions as normal, and scratches and blenishes all over. The lacquer is 70% intact. The area of greatest wear is at the top of each outer leg near the hand position. The slide lock, end shank tightening mechanism, and water-key are in good serviced order. The bottom bow has some small dents that our technician did not remove: he decided to prepare this slide without removing the bottom bow - to preserve the lacquer and save time/cost. There is no pink spot/rust spots that I can see.

It has been checked by our experienced technicians and is in perfect working order. It is supplied with a 6- month mechanical warranty, but without cosmetic warranty.

It is supplied with the original hard case, which is in good operational order. It is supplied without a mouthpiece. A new mouthpiece could be supplied for around £25-£60 (of your choice).

If on initial inspection if you are disappointed in any way, and return it, you will receive a full refund. If it fails mechanically within 6 months you may return it for a full refund, or repair (at your discretion).

It will be well packed before shipping and sent Business Post courier (inland UK only) for £15 and will require a signature on delivery (next day service). I will contact you first to establish what days someone will be there to sign for the parcel. Collection in person can be arranged. Delivery for non-inland UK (e.g. Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands) is £35.

This item will be sent to most European countries (door to door) on Business Post Euroroad for £50, and the USA by carrier (with insurance), price on request (but is likely to be £180).
