Stand up straight and measure several times, before deciding.  With a soft measuring tape, loosely measure from the    edge of your shoulder to opposite hip bone (diagonally).  Be sure the tape isn't pressing into your body, but not so loose that it droops.  When you take a deep breath the tape should not  press into your body, if it does the tape is too tight.  Do NOT measure to the side of your hip, you want to hit the front of your hip bone, the closest point.  Most people should measure in the  20's.  If you are pregnant or recently gave birth you should have someone else measure the same way but across your back. Great for those little thighs, when in the hip carry, belly to belly, or piggy back. Also wonderful for an infant's little head to rest on, when they are not yet to support it, themselves.   Padding is placed on either side of the "tush seam", where the backside of child's bent knee should be. Padding to one side of your sling or both  (you will need to purchase padding twice for both sides)  Put a small toy, wallet or keys in the pocket to keep your hands free.   Pocket Put a small toy, wallet or keys in the pocket to keep your hands free.  This Patch style pocket added to the front of your sling. -centered over the tush seam . Or can be placed off-set from seam, specify right or left handed side.  Twill and Sateen slings will have a bias tape edging in Bias tape. Gathering Strap This is a fabric strap with 2 d-rings to thread the strap thru to tighten to your desire. Some people find that when doing a lot of movement the sling fabric seems to slip off the shoulder. I tend to notice it when grocery shopping, when I am reaching a lot to grap items off the shelves. A gathering strap can help gather the fabric and cup it around your shoulder. Also helps people who have slopped or narrow shoulders. It can double as a toy holder as well (just loop the toy thru the strap before you use it). Helps to pull the fabric back away from the babies face as they are in the cradling position, as well as off your neck. Also!  Wrap it around your folded sling to keep it neatly folded! Great when your packing it in your diaper bag! Decorative Edge Stitching Normally each edge is straight stitched on the top to ensure durability and create a finished look. This upgrade offers you multiple choices to make your top stitch more unique and stand out from the normal. You can choose a contrasting color, or a blending color. I have many thread colors to choose from! Ex: A green print with black reverse can have black decorative stitching. Shows well on the green side while blending on the black.  Ex: Decorate your normally simple twill navy sling, by adding a bright Color decorative stitch. Stitch style: Florals, Hearts, Clovers, Vines, Waves, Loops, Bows, Leaves...   Mickey Reverse Upgrade Plush, soft and cozy. Replace the interior of your sling to a cuddly softness. Choose from Soft White Checkers or Brown Minky Dots. Flannel Reverse Upgrade Replace the reverse fabric with light and cozy flannel. baby soft classic. On Reversible Style slings only. Please state which color you wish to have at time of checkout.   Infant Support Removable Pillow This small pillow can be used to support you infant inside your sling. At times your small infant can get lost inside in the folds of the fabric in a sling - this gives them just a little boost. Can be used with newborns, and premature infants, until they can support thier own head. Approx Measures 8x12 with a dimpled center for nestling your infant. This is a removable pillow. You have the choice to choose from these types of fabric.  Basically I like to use the cream flannel, it is soft and natural in color.
