The properties of snail extract stem from its high active ingredient content, which includes:
Allantoin: Stimulates cell proliferation and tissue regeneration. Has a soothing cleansing and curative effect.
Glycolic Acid: This has a gentle exfoliating effect, thinning the corneal layer yet at the same time progressively thickening other layers of the dermis and epidermis, increasing cell metabolism, skin moisture & the general skin structure. Collagen, Vitamin E & Elastin – The joint action of these ingredients makes the skin firmer & more toned and helps to smooth out wrinkles and expression lines.
Vitamin C – Refines the texture of the skin, reduces pigmentation spots and improves skin tone.
Vitamin A – This is essential for the cellular renewal of dry and dehydrated skin as it accelerates the cell division process in the epidermis, improves enzyme action and refines skin texture. It slows down the thinning of the epidermis and helps to keep skin elastic. It is an active ingredient in treatments for preventing the premature ageing of the skin. Thanks to the joint effect of all the ingredients in snail extract, using this creamy gel replenishes the tissues with intensive nourishment, resulting in smooth, soft skin.
The snail extract comes from the Helix Aspersa Species and is collected from animals bred in a completely natural environment. Before subjecting the snail to the extraction process, it is carefully purified and given special treatment. Following extraction, the snail is returned, unharmed and healthy, to the breeding zone.
