You are looking at a Burns Marquee guitar, in Burgundy Mist finish.
 
 
The standard Marquee was developed from the original Hank Marvin model, keeping many of the original features. This guitar went on to be voted the guitar of the year in 1999 and 2000. 
 
 The neck is Maple with a  22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, and a 43mm "zero" fret, and the three single coil pickups are Burns Alnico Rez-o-Matic, with the usual 5 way pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls.
 
One feature of the electronics on this guitar, is the unique push/pull pickup selector on one of the tone controls. This allows you to introduce the single coil neck pickup along with the bridge pickup, giving you a rich, warm tone that will still cut through. You won't get this from a Strat.

ALL OUR GUITARS ARE SETUP. USUALLY THIS IS DONE BY THE MANUFACTURER OR THE DISTRIBUTOR, AND CHECKED BY US WHEN WE RECEIVE THEM.

SOMETIMES, RARELY WITHIN THE UK, A GUITAR WILL SLOWLY ACCLIMATISE TO A NEW ENVIRONMENT. THIS COULD HAPPEN AS A RESULT OF DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE LEVELS AND HUMIDITY, FOR INSTANCE, WHEN KEPT IN A CENTRALLY HEATED ENVIRONMENT. A GUITAR MAY ALSO CHANGE AS A RESULT OF BEING “PLAYED IN”.

BESIDES ALL THIS, EVERY PLAYER HAS THEIR OWN DIFFERENT PREFERENCES.

BEARING ALL THIS IN MIND WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PLAY IN YOUR GUITAR FOR A MONTH OR SO, AND THEN, IF YOU FEEL IT NEEDS ADJUSTMENT, ARRANGE FOR A SET-UP WITH YOUR LOCAL GUITAR TECH.
