WHAT A GREAT FULL SET OF 12 EDWARDIAN SOUP PLATES.

On offer today is a quite sensational and highly rare fully hallmarked set of 12 solid silver soup plates. 

These lovely 5 lobed (sided) dinner plates are each assayed in Sheffield,1902-year letter k.

The marks are deep and clear and are to the base of each plate near to the rim.

Makers' mark for Thomas Bradbury & Sons.

They were excellent silversmiths and these are superb examples of their work. 

Their combined weight is a staggering 6959 grams (223.76 troy ounces). 

The diameter of each is of a very good size at 9.75 inches and the height 1 inch. 

The condition is sensational for their age. 

Each is wonderfully engraved with a contemporary armorial and always has been,definitely no erasures either!

The arms are those of Sir George Bullough (1860-1939) knighted 1901,baronet 1916,of the Down House,Redmarley,Glos and the proprietor of the Isle of Rhum,Scotland.
