Twins Matt and Luke Goss were born in London, England, on 29 September 1968. Along with school friend Craig Logan , they formed a group named Caviar before changing the name to Bros.

After securing the services of Pet Shop Boys manager Tom Watkins and producer Nicky Graham.  Their first release was "I owe you nothing". They soon attracted a fanatical teenage fan base, and had thousands of fans. Their second single, the catchy, dance-orientated "When Will I Be Famous" was released and climbed to number 2. "Drop The Boy" soon followed, again just missing the number 1 spot.

By now established as the teen-idols of 1988, the trio's first single, "I Owe You Nothing", was re-promoted and reached the chart summit of number 1 in June 1988. A string of Top 10 singles followed, including "I Quit", "Cat Among The Pigeons", "Too Much", "Chocolate Box" and "Sister".

They are the only band in history to actually bring Oxford Street in London to a standstill , when they did a record signing at HMV. Their fortunes gradually took a downward turn. In January 1989, bassist Craig Logan quit and Bros subsequently became embroiled in an acrimonious legal battle with their manager .

They actively pursued a more serious direction and returned to the UK Top 20 with "Are You Mine?" and the album Changing Faces in 1991. They also played to a crowd of 70,000 people in Wembley Stadium for the Bros into Summer Concert. Bros were the youngest group in history to play Wembley Stadium.

By 1993 , Matt and Luke decided to call it a day and Bros was no more.

Matt pursued a solo career while Luke Goss turned to acting, enjoying success as a stage actor and appearing as Nomak in Blade II. He also landed the lead part in "Charlie" a film about Charlie Richardson's Life.
