It was working fine with no problems (couple of minor scratches and one little dent on the back, minor cosmetic problems) and then I foolishy droped it while changing tracks walking home.

It now doesn't appear to start up. If you do the recommended hard reset there is a crack noise on the headphones (normal behaviour for a hard reset I'd found) and if you put your ear to the ipod it sounds like the harddrive is spinning but nothing comes on the screen. I suspect I've knocked and damaged the harddrive as there are no visible problems with the screen (or possibly an internal cable loose?)

I'm afraid I have no idea what is wrong with this and I am selling it as broken for spares or repair with no warenty.

Please note that this item is BROKEN. However I'd love it to go to a good home for spares or repair rather than add to land-fill.
