42x Optical Zoom and Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer)

The VDR-D50 records directly onto DVD discs. It features Panasonic's Advanced O.I.S., an optical image stabilizer that's about eight times more effective than previous systems. Detecting and correcting hand-shake around 4,000 times per second, this high-performance system suppresses even tiny amounts of blurring caused by hand-shake.

Advanced O.I.S. prevents even the subtle blurring that can be caused by a tiny amount of hand-shake. In an age of large-screen, high-resolution TV’s that make every imperfection visible, an effective system such as Advanced O.I.S. is essential.

The VDR-D50 also boasts a powerful 42x optical zoom lens, yet is still conveniently compact and lightweight.
