Boys' retro style bowling shoes in soft brown/tan leather with mock lace up & velcro fastening strap.  They make perfect First Shoes, as the leather is beautifully soft.

The squeaker mechanism is incorporated into the heel and provides endless entertainment & fun for pre-walkers - babies love the squeaking sound as they kick their heels together in their buggy & they can also be used to benefit their development in a walker or bouncer.  The rubber soles provide excellent grip of the floor and aid your baby's posture, balance & confidence in preparation for taking those first tentative steps, at which point babies tend to focus so much on the squeak & less on the fear factor involved.

The squeak is great fun for toddlers and security for parents, as they act like an audible radar system to let you know where your little one is at all times. Allows you to dispense with reins and wrist straps, allowing your child more freedom to move around, without the headache of keeping track of them.  The squeaker is also removable for times when quiet shoes are required, giving you the best of both worlds. Simply tweeze out the tube from the side of the sole and store in a safe place away from tiny hands.  Then simply re-insert the tube to re-activate the squeaker.

As a parent to a very active toddler, I can thoroughly recommend squeaky shoes.  They're definitely more funky than the boring styles you see in the shops and our daughter loves them! Shopping or being out and about is never a problem now I can hear her even if I can't always see her and the squeak lets me know exactly in which direction to find her. Perfect!

Shoe buying tips

When measuring your child's feet, please measure them from heel to toe & standing up to allow for the full spread of the foot in terms of width & length. Shoes should be slightly longer than the foot by approx. 7-8mm. When you walk your feet naturally move towards the front, so if the shoe is too short the big toe will push against the end.  When choosing the correct size, please also bear in mind that children's feet grow by approx. 5mm every 6 months, so a shoe which is only just fitting now will soon be too short if you do not allow for wriggle/growth room.

Please note that European footwear sizing does not correspond directly with the UK system & therefore these squeaky shoes are generally one size smaller.  To compensate for the size difference, when you receive your shoes you will see that the size printed on the inner sole is bigger, e.g. order UK size 5 and size you receive will be Euro size 22/6.  Please use the table below to guide you.  Please note that additional postage for size exchanges must be funded by the customer.
