Item specifics - Drum Machines
Type: Drum MachinesBrand: Roland
Condition: Used

You're looking at a Boss DR-55 programmable analog drum machine. It is in extremely good condition for its age (approx 28 years old) and works perfectly. It has only a few very small markings on the metal case. These things were definitely built to last (unlike todays plastic junk). All of the knobs, switches and buttons work like new. It comes with the original box and manual (box is a bit tatty, front page of manual missing).

The serial number 947300 (stated inside battery compartment).

The design has cool retro looks, and its four sounds have the nice analog warmth that you'd expect from a vintage machine.

This will be of interest to collectors - it is one of the first drum machines released by Boss to feature step programming rather than presets.

If you happened to watch the Synth Britannia doc on BBC a couple of weeks ago you would've seen Vince Clarke talking about this unit. It was Depeche Mode's drum machine of choice in the early days.

Grab yourself a piece of history!

Thanks for looking.
