THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL  FLUTED EDGED AND GILDED BOWL.PRESUMABLY IT COULD BE USED FOR FRUIT OR FOR SERVING VEGETABLES. THE BOWL IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS OR CRAZING. THERE HAS BEEN VERY LITTLE WEAR TO THE GILDING.

I MUST POINT OUT THAT THERE IS A VERY TINY CHIP TO THE BASE ON THE BASE RIM WHICH CAN ONLY BE SEEN WHEN THE BOWL IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN. THIS CANNOT BE SEEN AT ALL WHEN THE BOWL IS IN USE.
