"Tests by the British Museum have shown that natural waxes such as beeswax and carnuba contain acid that in time spoils the original finishes. Renaissance is a fossil or micro-crystaline wax which is completely acid free (pH neutral). Perfect for wooden cases, it brings out the depth of grain and patina and protects it under a hard gloss finish. Brass clock plates and cases also benefit by polishing with renaissance polish which protects them fully against tarnish. There are very few materials which will not benefit from an application of this wax.
The formula has remained unchained for over 60 years and the manufacturer was awarded a Royal Warrant in 1984"
