If you are a consumer (a private individual not purchasing for business use) then for most items you have the right under the Distance Selling Regulations to cancel your purchase at any time in the seven working days beginning the day that the item is delivered to you. The Distance Selling Regulations apply to items purchased via Buy It Now listings and Second Chance Offers on eBay.co.uk. However, they don't apply to auction format listings on eBay.co.uk.
 Any thing bought from the eBay action format buyer is to check the item on delivery and if item is not as described or if its damaged in any way the buyer is to sign the item as damaged and is to return it with the same delivery failing to do that will result the buyer with no refund or replacement on item or posting. Any item sold in Buy It Now listings and Second Chance Offers. The buyer must return the item undamaged on recorded delivery at his on postage cost with in 7 days refund will be given only on the item once it’s returned safely at buyer’s risk.
The buyer must return the item using track able postage with delivery confirmation, or will risk not qualifying for a refund if the item is lost in transit. If tracking or delivery confirmation is not provided by the buyer returning the item, and item does not appear in 7 days then the seller is not obligated to refund the buyer.  
If the buyer returns a different item or the same item but in worse condition, seller will appeal to eBay immediately.  They will review the claim, and if they find it in the sellers favour they will repay the seller any funds which have been reversed from the sellers account and record the incident on the buyer’s record.  If a pattern emerges, they will take action on the buyer for fraud.
