This is information on how to
Re - initialise / reprogramme your remote Key / Key fob
 
If you own a 3, 5 7 series or an X5 you either know how much it costs to get your key reprogrammed after having the battery replaced or have been fortunate to not yet find out!

Buy it now it's an obsolute Bargain
and will save you a heap later on.
 
Unfortunately I found out the hard way and paid my dealer 30 minutes labour and then watched as he went to the car and re initialise the key, it took all of twenty seconds and cost me £35 +vat.
 
This info is definitely worth the money, just to find out for your self. There are no tools to use, and you will be told how to do it by email once payment has been received.
 
Once you replace your battery you need to reprogramme your keys other wise they will not work your alarm system/ central locking.

This information covers models from about 1999 & the older style keys which were used on most models with remote locking made after 1995. This will not work on the BMW alarm fobs.

Recently I have received several questions from potential buyers who in a round about way are asking can this info be used to nick/ steal BMW's?

The answer is NO

As per my listing this info is designed to reprogramme your keys for your own vehicle, and will only work if you already have a fully working key for your car, and with you during the reprogramming process. It is designed to reinitialise a key after having the battery replaced, as the security sequence is lost, and you should be aware unless your key is reprogrammed even if it fits the ignition it will not be able to start the car or cancel the alarm.

Sorry to the 99% of you, if it would appear Iam stating the obvious.
