BLACK & WHITE SCOTCH WHISKY DOGS
MADE OF LEAD
only 1.9" tall
These two dogs are made of painted hollow cast lead, and come from a vintage Black & White Scotch Whisky advertising figure. Although these are smaller than the two dogs shown in the advertising figure in the Westcott book, Volume 2, page 40 - one can see from the identical features that they are genuine Black & White Whisky figures, depictions of a Scottish Terrier (Scottie Dog) and a West Highland Terrier (Westie).
The exact age of the dogs is not known, but the style suggests that they are from the 1930s or 1940s?

CONDITION
Both dogs are in excellent structural condition. There is paint loss as shown in the photographs above. The bases show where they have been removed from what I presume was some type of pedestal, which, as with the larger bar items would have been marked Black & White Scotch Whisky
