Black stays and fasteners can be seen in many country homes and cottages and are ever popular in traditional interiors.

The LISTER traditional stay is available in the usual length 11" (280mm) 

Malleable wrought iron is by its very nature susceptible to rusting and should be cared for accordingly, it will require a regular maintenance routine which should include a light application of oil and an occasional application of clear wax.  Used internally in a modern centrally heated property, there should be not problem whatsoever.
