HOW WE DESCRIBE OUR BOOKS
We use a variety of words to describe the condition of our books, as follows:
Very fine - as new, never been read
Fine - almost new condition
Very good - covers showing a little wear, minor internal faults
Good - 'knocked' covers, a little foxing and/or other minor internal faults
Fairly good - worse than above
Poor - Grubby and/or battered covers, extensive foxing and/or several major internal faults
A Space Filler - Grubby, battered, loose and/or missing covers and/or pages. A working copy only.
Dust-jackets - similar descriptions are used
Sending books through the post is expensive, and if you do not agree with our description (we do make mistakes), rather than send it back, please get in touch with us, tell us why you disagree and make us an offer.
PACKING, SHIPPING and INSURANCE
We always send our books in a strong Jiffy bag, seal the Jiffy bag with Sellotape, stamp it with our return address and obtain proof of posting. We offer a guarantee that if the parcel does not arrive within 14 working days, just write to us (pen & ink variety) and we will refund your payment. We will then use your letter to pursue Royal Mail and try to recover our loss. Please note that items sent via surface mail can take up to eight weeks.
IF YOU INTEND TO BUY MORE THAN ONE LOT
If you buy two, or more items the books will be sent separately. For the remainder of the lots please wait until we send you a combined invoice.
