In this classic John Wayne western, a wealthy rancher's grandson is held for ransom by a murderous kidnapper. This is a must have for fans of The Magnificent Seven and True Grit soundtracks. Elmer Bernstein delivers a colorful and melodious score and the suspense-filled ride-out closing of the Going Home finale is a satisfying conclusion to this musical adventure.

Tough Westerner is called back by estranged wife to rescue their grandson from a gang of kidnappers headed by Richard Boone (who's especially good). Underrated turn-of-the-century Western; well paced, handsomely shot. Wayne's fifth and final pairing with Maureen O'Hara; Chris Mitchum and the Duke's son Patrick, play his sons. 1971
