Berry Pomeroy Castle is tucked away in a steep wood near Totnes South Devon. A romantic ruin, within the 15th century defences of the Pomeroy family, it still displays a wall painting of the three Kings in its gatehouse chamber. Begun in 1560 it was never completed and was abandoned by 1700 it is the focus of blood-curdling ghost stories.
It would make a great gift for any angler or lover of Devon history.
