"Behind The Scenes At Time Team" was written by Tim Taylor series producer of the very popular Channel 4 programme "Time Team".

Using a series of case studies this book examines the initial choice of site and background research, through the trials and tribulations of the dig itself and on to post-production work.  Techniques and strategies are explained as are the problems faced when things do not go as planned!

The sites used to illustrate all this are:-

• Cooper's Hole, Cheddar (Prehistoric);
• Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent (Joshua Wedgwood's kiln);
• Beauport Park, Sussex (Roman bath house);
• Smallhythe, Kent (16th century docklands); and
• Reedham Marshes, Norfolk (Second World War bomber).

Illustrated throughout with the excellent colour photographs of Chris Bennet and sketches by Victor Ambrus, this really shows the effort that goes into making this programme!  A great read for any fan of this series.

Used but still in near mint condition with just some slight wear on the back cover where a stick on "bar code" label has been part removed.
