On offer is a sound reading copy of 'Practical Queen Rearing' by Frank C. Pellett published by Jost & Kiefer Printing Co., Quincy Illinois for Dadant & Sons publishers of the American Bee Journal.  First published in 1918, this is the 6th edition of 1945 with the contents updated.  The Author is Field Editor of the American Bee Journal and Former State Apiarist of Iowa.  The book deals with methods used for rearing queen bees and outlines the equipment needed and reviews the various methods in use.  The book is illustrated with 40 black-and-white photographs.  The book measures 13.5 x 20 cm. and has 102 pages.   

Externally the book is Good, internally Good+, condition.  Approximately half the front cover has a glazed appearance and was probably affected by heat or water at some time.  There is light wear of cover edges and slight bumping of corners.  The spine is faded.  There are 3 small holes piercing the back cover and penetrating some pages but the effect is minor.  Internally the book is clean and there are no inscriptions.

The book will be posted in a Jiffy bag with cardboard insert to prevent folding.
