You are looking at a museum quality reproduction of the Nothosaur Pachypleurosaurus skeleton from the Early Jurassic Age of France.  Certain fossils are just too costly and some are one-of-a-kind specimens that can only be viewed at museums. This fossil reproduction is an exact copy and measures over 270mm long if laid out straight on a matrix measuring 215mm x 115mm.  This animal was the ancestor to all of the Plesiosaurus.
