This vintage French glass table lamp is so stylish with its classical applique design. The body is glass in wonderful shades of oyster to soft warm gold and the base is decorated brass. All around the central section is a painted oyster applique that features classical flower filled urns flanked with scrolls and curls. The applique work is hand painted in a slightly lighter shade that makes for a more sophisticated and stylish look.

When the lamp is lit the applique seems to lift from the body and displays well.

The lamp measures 12" high (30.5cms) and the base, which is weighted, has a diameter of just over 4 and 1/2" (11.5cms).

The wiring is in superb condition and I have had the lamp working here but it should of course still be checked out again before use. There is no damage or wear and the glass in pristine.

** The shade is not included in the auction as it is one I made myself from 19th century textile....and, to be honest, I didn`t do a very good job of it so I would not inflict it onto someone else!!!!***
