This cross came out of a large collection where the original collector died over 30 years ago so, there is no way of telling the age of this crucifix, only an approximation. When the collection came into my possession, this cross was valued between $1,500 and $2,000 six years ago. A stunning visual display of red coral assembled into a cross with a matching 2-strand necklace. Eleven perfectly matched ovoid-shaped pieces of red coral make up the cross. Supporting this crucifix is a 2-strand necklace of labor intensive, evenly colored beads of red coral attached to brass clasp. The measurements of the cross are: approximately 1 5/8" across X 2 5/8" long X 3/16 " thick. The longest strand of the necklace would be 15" in length with a 13" inner strand length. Realistically, the hanging depth of necklace and crucifix would be around 14"-15". Perfect gift or addition to a collection. It is a beauty!  CR 20
